Kristin Tenney-Blackwell, M.A., LLP, IMH-E, is a Content Creator for the Virtual Lab School and a Clinical Psychology doctoral student. She currently works at Vanderbilt University and shares her expertise with the Virtual Lab School by developing course content for several of the Infant and Toddler modules. Kristin has worked with children, families, and educators for over 15 years and has been active in providing consultation and guidance to organizations such as ZERO TO THREE, Devereux Center for Resilient Children, Erikson Institute, and Head Start on issues related to early childhood mental health. Kristin has worked extensively with caregivers and teachers to promote social and emotional development and prevent challenging behaviors in infants and young children. She also co-authored the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment Infant and Toddler Strategies Guide. Kristin’s experience with the VLS has provided her an opportunity to connect with and learn from professionals who support military-sponsored childcare and youth programs and colleagues who help design professional developmental materials.
