Use this handout to develop your own statement (typically a paragraph) about children’s physical growth and development. Explain how you plan to support physical development through planned activities and materials. Describe your policy regarding screen time (television, computers, movies, tablets, etc.) for children.

Provide details regarding your plan for daily outdoor play and what clothing children need to bring to participate in outdoor physical activity each day. Add any information you believe families should know about physical activity in your home-care setting. With feedback from your trainer, coach or family child care administrator, include this paragraph in your family handbook.
