Construction area

We have drafting paper, model blueprints, pencils. There are lots of conversations about problem-solving the construction sets.

Arts & crafts

There are no written materials here, and the kids seem to work by themselves and then move on. Maybe we provide directions for using some materials? Or this is a time for conversation? We could set it up so 3-4 children work at the same time and encourage conversation.

Video games

We have directions posted for how the machines work, and some of the games require reading and communication….but not very many.

Outdoor stage

We could add some short play scripts from famous plays?

Outdoor playground

It would be cool to add a reading nook outside. Maybe some benches and a basket of books in a covered area.
