It is important to know where the “hot spots” are in your program. Draw a map of your indoor or outdoor program space on a separate piece of paper.  Spend some time observing children. Each time you see a challenging behavior or an injury, mark an X where it occurred. At the end of the day, look for patterns.

2. Which areas have the most x’s?
    
3. What changes can you make to improve the space?
    
4. What supervision changes could you make?
