At the direction of the Department of War’s Child and Youth Programs (CYPs) Office and Service Leadership, and in consultation with Service CYP leadership, the suggested responses to activities in Foundational and Focused Topics courses have been removed for Direct Care users. This decision was based on user feedback and data from our community pilots of the VLS professional development system. It also aligns with our commitment to continuously improve the VLS system.

The removal of suggested responses is intended to encourage critical thinking among adult learners and application of lesson content in original and creative ways. If you, as a Direct Care professional, need more support with response to lesson activities, reach out to your program’s Training & Curriculum Specialist for individualized support.

The suggested responses remain available to those in CYP leadership and coaching roles, including Training & Curriculum Specialists, Program Managers, Installation Administrators, and other leaders.
