VLS PD Tracks Count Toward OSU AA Degree

VLS Track Completion Applies to 13 Semester Hours Toward Online Associates of Arts Degree at OSU

The Department of Defense Virtual Lab School is listed on the Early Educator Central website as a professional development resource for Teachers, Administrators, and Trainers and Coaches. Refer to the “Career Pathways” section at https://earlyeducatorcentral.acf.hhs.gov/ for details.

The Ohio State University now offers an online Associate of Arts (AA) degree. For VLS users enrolled as part of a military installation's training program, completion of a VLS track counts for 13 of the 60 credit semester hours required to complete an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development and Education at Ohio State. Credits will be awarded upon completion of the degree. To learn more about the online Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Development and Education, including a short video about the program, visit https://online.osu.edu/program/aaecd. For program requirements, including deadlines to apply, visit https://ehe.osu.edu/human-sciences/hdfs/aa. For a course list, including courses that are listed as “VLS-equivalent” (i.e., completion of VLS coursework can be applied in lieu of the course), see: http://static.ehe.osu.edu/downloads/academics/program-sheets/aa-early-childhood-development-and-education.pdf.
