Children’s development and approaches to learning are strongly influenced by the quality of care provided by child and youth professionals. As a program leader, conducting thoughtful and high-quality observations of teaching staff is essential to support their professional growth. These observations provide critical insights that form the foundation for meaningful feedback and continuous improvement. In this webinar, we will reflect on the elements of quality observation, including factors that impact how we see and interact with others. We will unpack evidence-based strategies for conducting strong observations, as well as offer tools to support using observations for authentic and meaningful coaching conversations. Additionally, we will provide time to practice and refine observation skills together.
This training is designed primarily for Program Managers, Training & Curriculum Specialists, and other CYP program leaders. To attend you must have a Virtual Lab School (VLS) account. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email directly from Government Zoom containing information about joining the webinar. Registration for this webinar is limited to the first 500 individuals.
