The Virtual Lab School (VLS) team will be offering our next live webinar via Government Zoom in October! Please see the details below, including a link to a registration form to sign up. Live Leadership Webinars are currently only available to military-affiliated leaders with a VLS login. To see the registration link, make sure that you are logged in.
As always, the training will be recorded and published on the VLS site for those unable to attend the live session. Both public and military-affiliated users may view the recording of this webinar on the Live Leadership Recording page.
Professionals from multiple generations often work side by side in child and youth programs, bringing different experiences, perspectives, and strengths to their roles. This webinar explores how leaders can foster a workplace culture that values generational differences while avoiding assumptions that can create barriers to collaboration. We will examine common characteristics associated with various generations and discuss how they may influence communication, teamwork, and professional expectations. Throughout the session, we will highlight the benefits of a multigenerational workforce and share practical strategies for supporting communication, coaching and supervision, and collaboration across teams. We will also explore how perspectives from each generation may shape family engagement and discuss approaches for building strong partnerships with families. As always, we will highlight VLS resources and tools that support reflective leadership, effective communication, and collaborative practice in child and youth programs.
This training is designed primarily for Program Managers, Training & Curriculum Specialists, and other CYP program leaders. To attend you must have a Virtual Lab School (VLS) account. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email directly from Government Zoom containing information about joining the webinar. Registration for this webinar is limited to the first 500 individuals.
